Abrasive Wheels hybrid or classroom – based course

Gain the knowledge and skills required for the safe operation, mounting, and inspection of abrasive wheels. The course covers wheel selection, storage, mounting procedures, guarding, speed ratings, risk assessment, and PPE requirements. Delivered through hybrid and classroom-based instructor-led courses with extensive hands-on practical training. In the practical sessions, delegates perform pre-use checks, wheel selection, and fitting on two out of three selected tools: hand-held grinders, cut-off saws (con saws), or bench grinders, along with the correct use of PPE and wheel blotters. Hybrid delivery is particularly effective because employees can study the theory modules at their own pace and attend the practical sessions with full focus and maximum engagement with the instructor.
